A study on male patients with a history of premature ejaculation was conducted in Australia in order to determine the safety and efficacy of Dapoxetine. In the first study, a group of 120 male patients (aged 18 to 45) with a mean age of 41.9 ± 10.1 years (range: 26 to 60 years) with a diagnosis of premature ejaculation, who received Dapoxetine for an average period of 1.5 +/- 1.0 years, were randomly assigned to receive a group of 5 mg/day Dapoxetine for an average period of 2.5 +/- 0.5 years. There was no significant difference in the first period (p = 0.14) or second period (p = 0.26) of mean plasma Dapoxetine levels between the Dapoxetine group and the control group. However, the mean plasma Dapoxetine concentrations (Cmax) during the first period and the mean Cmax during the second period of the study were significantly higher in the Dapoxetine group than in the control group (p <0.001). There were no significant differences in the Cmax of the study patients in the first period or in the second period between the Dapoxetine group and the control group (p = 0.17). In the study, the mean plasma Dapoxetine concentrations (Cmax) in the Dapoxetine group were higher than those in the control group (p = 0.03) and both groups showed significantly lower Cmax (p <0.001) during the first period (Cmax = 13.3 ± 3.4 and Cmax = 8.7 ± 2.4) and the second period (Cmax = 5.9 ± 1.2 and Cmax = 2.4 ± 0.8) (p <0.001).
In a parallel study, plasma levels of Dapoxetine were higher in patients taking ketorolac and compared to patients taking a placebo (p <0.001).
A study on men with a history of premature ejaculation was conducted to determine the safety of Dapoxetine in a male patient with a history of premature ejaculation and premature ejaculation associated with erectile dysfunction. In this study, a group of 18 men (aged 18 to 45) with a mean age of 45.2 ± 10.
